We have great know-how in Enterprise Resource Planning Software (ERP) with Odoo, IT Management Systems and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Geospatial Solutions is specialized in Open Source based GIS systems. We develop performant and robust systems for the management and efficient use of our customers' spatial data.

Our team is present in France, Switzerland and Germany and we are recruiting
a Geospatial solutions IT Project Manager
to strengthen our team in Olten or Zurich. In this role, you will manage IT projects in the geospatial field, act as the link between clients and our technical experts, and support the team in delivering high-quality solutions. You will combine project management with elements of product ownership, business analysis, team leadership, and sales.

Your day as a GIS IT Project manager

• Plan and manage GIS/IT projects, ensuring quality, budget, and timelines.
• Act as the main contact for clients, understanding their needs and translating them into requirements.
• Define and prioritize product backlogs together with the team.
• Coordinate and support project teams to ensure efficient collaboration.
• Coordinate internal resources to deliver projects on time in collaboration with the PMO.
• Align technical solutions with business goals and user needs.
• Anticipate risks and propose solutions to obstacles encountered.
• Support business development by preparing offers, participating in pre-sales discussions, and identifying opportunities with clients.
• Bill our customers for projects and guarantee their profitability.
• Organise regular retrospectives on the different phases of projects.
• Contribute to the improvement of methods and processes within the company.

Your profile

Your essential skills to succeed in this role

• You have a degree in Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• You have several years of experience in IT project management using agile methods.
• You have a good knowledge of the geospatial industry, both Open Source (QGIS, GeoServer, PostGIS, etc.) and ESRI technologies.
• You have experience in sales or pre-sales activities is a strong advantage.
• You possess strong communication skills and experience working with clients.
• You have leadership experience in guiding and supporting project teams.
• You are fluent in German and English.
• You have a valid work permit for Switzerland.

The icing on the cake

If you also recognize yourself in the following, it will be a big plus:

• You have project management relevant certifications such as Scrum or Hermes.
• You have experience with Cloud technologies and Cloud Native architectures.
• You have experience with Atlassian suite tools: Jira and Confluence.

Start date:
Immediately or by arrangement.

Location:
Olten or Zurich, with the option to work remotely two days per week.

Work rate:
We are flexible and you choose between 80% and 100%.
