Role Description:

The
Research Analyst
in Asset Management plays a pivotal role in supporting investment decision-making by providing rigorous research, data analysis, and market insights. This position involves analyzing financial markets, industries, and individual securities to generate actionable insights that inform portfolio strategy, risk management, and investment recommendations. The Research Analyst contributes to the organization's investment processes by delivering high-quality research, identifying trends, and evaluating potential opportunities across multiple asset classes.

In this role, the Research Analyst conducts thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis of companies, sectors, and markets, including financial statement evaluation, valuation modeling, and assessment of macroeconomic indicators. The position requires synthesizing complex information from multiple sources, including market data, industry reports, and economic forecasts, to produce accurate, timely, and relevant insights. The Research Analyst supports the preparation of investment reports, presentations, and briefings for portfolio managers and senior leadership.

Collaboration is a key component of the role. The Research Analyst works closely with portfolio managers, traders, and other analysts to ensure research findings are integrated into investment strategies and that recommendations are actionable and aligned with risk and performance objectives. The position also involves monitoring market developments, tracking competitor activities, and staying abreast of regulatory and geopolitical changes that could impact investment decisions.

The Research Analyst is expected to provide rigorous, data-driven analyses while maintaining clear and effective communication. This includes creating detailed research reports, visualizing data to highlight insights, and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. The role emphasizes critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial information accurately and efficiently.

By contributing high-quality research and analysis, the Research Analyst directly supports informed investment decision-making and the development of effective asset management strategies. The role fosters a culture of analytical rigor, market awareness, and evidence-based decision-making across the investment team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial statements, valuation models, and market data.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, investment principles, and asset management strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, or other financial research tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex findings clearly.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
