Data Platform Engineer

Our client in the financial services industry is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the build and expansion of a Data Science platform on Microsoft Azure.

What you will do:

  • Build and extend a Data Science platform in Azure
  • Implement new platform features and manage release upgrades on Azure Kubernetes based infrastructure
  • Design and manage authentication flows between on prem and Azure
  • Integrate databases and extend cloud services for Data Science and BI workloads
  • Ensure platform operations user administration monitoring and vulnerability management
  • Collaborate with Data Science teams to define best practices privacy controls and performance improvements

Nice to have:

  • Experience scaling infrastructure for AI workloads including Spark based processing
  • Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and alerting

What you bring:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure including PaaS SaaS IaaS
  • Kubernetes and Docker experience in production environments
  • Terraform and CI/CD automation experience
  • Understanding of IT security in hybrid cloud setups
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage Azure PostgreSQL Azure Functions is an advantage
  • German Fluent
