SIX is seeking a motivated and talented System Engineer with a passion for technology to help us operate and enhance our highly secure, scalable, and automated Managed File Transfer (MFT) Platform.

In this role, you will be responsible for the operations, engineering, and integration of business and corporate services using our platform. You'll join a dynamic, international team based in Spain, France and Switzerland, where we embrace a T-shaped engineering mindset—taking ownership, collaborating across disciplines, and delivering outstanding solutions.

As part of the central hub for MFT expertise at SIX, you will contribute to delivering high-quality production and test environments, supporting regular agile releases.

What You Will Do
  • Operate and evolve our corporate MFT Services (Axway) ensuring reliability, scalability, and security
  • Design and implement new features and platform capabilities driven by business and customer needs
  • Automate and optimize infrastructure and deployments using GitOps practices and IaC tools like Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, and GitLab CI.
  • Enhance observability and performance through OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch, improving visibility across metrics, logs, and traces.
  • Participate in incident response and on-call rotations, contributing to a culture of blameless postmortems and continuous improvement.
  • Stay organized and maintain composure in dynamic environments.
What You Will Do
  • Solid experience in DevOps, or SRE-like roles, operating production systems
  • Experience in programming with Python or Go, containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), and CI/CD pipeline implementation (GitLab, Helm, etc.) applying GitOps principles in Linux environment
  • Know-how in log aggregation tools (e.g. Elasticsearch) with knowledge and experience in monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.)
  • A collaborative, proactive attitude, and the ability to stay calm, structured, and solution-oriented during incidents.
  • Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written and German is a big plus
