Linux System Engineer
Are you a Linux System Engineer with deep-rooted expertise in both traditional infrastructure and modern cloud-native environments? Do you thrive in complex, highly available systems and enjoy solving performance bottlenecks, automating repetitive tasks, and managing infrastructure at scale? Are you confident across a wide range of tools and technologies, from Ansible and Terraform to Kubernetes and Kafka, and passionate about security, monitoring, and reliability? If so, this might be the next challenge you're looking for.
You'll be part of a team responsible for designing, operating, and evolving critical systems in hybrid environments, with a strong focus on automation, container orchestration, and observability. From hardening Linux-based systems and managing cloud-native workloads on AWS and Azure, to migrating legacy services to Kubernetes or replacing on-prem Kafka with modern streaming platforms like Redpanda—you'll play a key role in shaping resilient infrastructure. You'll contribute to internal DevSecOps culture, write playbooks, analyze vulnerabilities, support penetration testing, and build pipelines with a security-first mindset.
This role requires fluent German communication skills, as you'll be collaborating closely with local teams, stakeholders, and support units. It's ideal for an engineer who combines senior-level Linux expertise with an open-source mentality and hands-on experience in SRE, system forensics, and cyber defense. Whether you're scripting with Bash and Python, building infrastructure-as-code, or reverse-engineering logs from a complex outage—your structured, proactive, and analytical approach will make you a cornerstone of any mission-critical team.
