PhD Student in Na-ion batteries
Your tasks
The tasks within the CORNERSTONE project involve conducting both fundamental and applied research on Na-ion batteries, with a particular emphasis on the synthesis of functional materials. The work includes operando and post-mortem characterization of battery materials to gain insights into performance and degradation mechanisms. A significant focus is placed on the development of Online Electrochemical Mass Spectrometry methodologies. You will plan and execute experimental research activities, present findings at project and review meetings, and prepare of technical reports. Results will be disseminated through publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presentations at international conferences. The position includes responsibilities related to student supervision and teaching.
Your profile
You hold a master's degree in chemistry, materials science or a closely related discipline. You are highly motivated, possess a hands-on approach, and are eager to engage in experimental work on a challenging and interdisciplinary topic. Prior experience in synthesis of functional materials for rechargeable batteries is advantageous but not mandatory. You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary and international research environment and demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
