For the Accelerator Modelling and Advanced Simulation Research group we are looking for a
**PhD Student***:
Bayesian Calibration Methodology for Complex Models
**Your tasks**:
- Development and demonstration of a Bayesian calibration methodology applicable to complex models such as particle accelerators or particle physics experiments
- Setting up an advanced data assimilation methodology, its verification and validation
- Presentation of the scientific results at conferences and publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Supervising BSc & MSc students
- Supporting teaching activities at ETH
**Your profile**:
- Masters degree in physics, mathematics or computational science
- Good knowledge of English
- Good programming skills in C++ and Python (or Julia)
- Experience in accelerator modelling and simulations is a benefit
- Good communication and team work skills
