IAM Platform Owner / Program Lead

Business Context & Purpose

We are initiating a strategic project to design, build, and operationalize an enterprise
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
platform. This platform will provide a unified foundation for secure, compliant, and efficient identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, and access governance across all enterprise systems, including cloud (Azure, AWS) and SaaS applications.

The IAM Platform Owner will act as the overall delivery lead and product owner, ensuring the platform is designed and implemented according to strategic, architectural, and security requirements. They will coordinate with stakeholders across Cybersecurity, IT, Cloud, and HR, manage vendors, and drive the adoption of automation and best practices to deliver a scalable, efficient, and compliant IAM service.

Role Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Roadmap
    : Define IAM platform vision, scope, and roadmap aligned with enterprise architecture and security frameworks.
  • Program Delivery
    : Lead the project to design and implement the IAM platform, managing vendors, integrators, and internal teams.
  • Architecture & Integration
    : Define and implement integration models with HR, Active Directory, Azure AD, cloud platforms, and key business systems.
  • Governance & Compliance
    : Establish IAM policies, access governance processes, and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX, and DORA.
  • Operations Transition
    : Develop operational model, roles, and KPIs to transition the IAM platform into steady state.
  • Change Enablement
    : Engage stakeholders across IT, HR, and Security to drive adoption and process alignment.

Required Experience & Skills

Experience

  • 7+ years in IAM, Information Security, or IT Infrastructure roles.
  • Proven experience leading IAM or IGA platform projects.
  • Vendor and partner management experience.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of IAM protocols and standards (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, SCIM, LDAP).
  • Hands-on knowledge of solutions such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Azure AD, Ping, or CyberArk.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust, JIT access, MFA, SSO, and lifecycle automation.
  • Understanding of cloud (Azure/AWS) and DevSecOps practices.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership and influencing skills to drive adoption and governance.
  • Strategic yet pragmatic approach to delivery.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration.
