Position Overview:
We are looking for a
Chemical Compliance & Classification Analyst
to support one of our major clients in the chemical industry. This role is focused on
trade compliance
with an emphasis on
chemical product classification
, regulatory controls, and the digital tools that support these processes. You will work at the intersection of chemistry, global trade regulation, and data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the
classification of chemical substances
using HS/HTS codes and regulatory frameworks - Assist in the
management of controlled substances
and chemical trade controls - Use internal
databases and digital tools
to analyze and validate classification and compliance data - Contribute to the implementation of
automation, digitalization, and AI-based tools
for trade compliance - Collaborate with
cross-functional and cross-regional teams
on compliance-related projects - Participate in internal initiatives to improve
compliance processes and reporting
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in
Chemistry
or similar scientific field - Strong knowledge of
chemical structures and nomenclature - Excellent command of
Microsoft Excel
and data systems - Fluent in English
(spoken and written)
Preferred:
- Familiarity with
World Customs Organization (WCO) classification principles
(HS/HTS) - Basic programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, VBA)
- Experience in
chemical, agrochemical, or pharmaceutical
industries - German
language skills are a plus

style - Ability to work with data, extract insights, and support documentation
