About The Role:
As
Regulatory Compliance Officer
, you will ensure that YAPEAL fully complies with applicable
AML
,
tax
transparency
, and
regulatory requirements
while helping to
modernize
and
automate
compliance processes through AI tools and data-driven solutions.

You will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and collaborate closely with the Risk and Product teams, acting as the bridge between regulatory assurance, innovation, and operational excellence.

Expect a Day Full of:
Regulatory Compliance & Tax Transparency

• Monitor and analyze regulatory developments, including new laws, FINMA circulars, and tax-related obligations (FATCA, AEOI, CRS)
• Inform and advise management on key regulatory trends and their strategic impact
• Process new regulations and circulars to keep internal guidelines and policies up to date
• Enhance and monitor tax reporting processes, including the preparation and submission of reports to relevant authorities
• Prepare audit-proof documentation of compliance activities and regulatory implementations
• Coordinate and monitor outsourcing compliance in line with regulatory expectations
• Develop compliance documentation and risk/compliance overviews for ExB and BoD Meetings

Innovation, Automation & Efficiency

• Identify opportunities to increase operational productivity through technology
• Lead or support projects to automate compliance and risk processes using AI and RegTech solutions (e.g. sanctions screening, fraud detection, or risk classification)
• Ensure that all automated processes and compliance tools are regulatory-compliant and well-documented
• Act as a tech-savvy compliance partner, supporting the continuous improvement of systems, reporting tools, and digital monitoring frameworks

AML / CTF Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence for new and existing clients in line with Yapeal's risk classification
• Oversee KYC and KYT processes and ensure the regular review of higher-risk relationships
• Conduct regular reviews of high-risk customer relationships and monitor first-line control activities
• Develop and deliver AML/CTF training to enhance compliance awareness across the organization
• Continuously enhance the AML Compliance Risk Framework and reporting standards
• Manage reports to MROS and maintain direct contact with competent authorities
• Act as the competence centre for compliance requirements in new product initiatives and system functionalities

Who We're Looking For:

• Motivated to take on responsibility in an agile and fast-moving fintech environment
• Experience or strong interest in AI-driven automation and RegTech applications (e.g., process optimization, data analysis, RegTech tools)
• Proven experience in Compliance and/or Risk Management, ideally in a financial or fintech environment
• Proven experience of regulatory requirements, including AML, FATCA, AEOI
• Fluent in German, with very good knowledge of English
• Proactive, analytical, and comfortable taking responsibility in a dynamic, innovative organization.
• Fluency in (Swiss-) German and proficiency in English is a must
