Head of Finance (Ref. 2680)

Zug – Hybrid working model

will play a key strategic role within the Swiss leadership team, overseeing all finance operations, controlling, tax, and compliance activities. Reporting directly to the CEO and working in close partnership with the CFO and Business Controller, this role serves as the key finance lead for business decisions at group level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the CEO, providing financial insight and decision support across all activities
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO and Business Controller to drive planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Deliver clear visibility on financial performance, resource allocation and investment returns
  • Contribute to strategic discussions as part of the Executive Leadership Team, effectively representing Finance at the management table
  • Lead, coordinate and oversee all financial operations for the Swiss entities, including accounting, controlling, and tax
  • Ensure full compliance with Swiss legislation, statutory reporting standards, and local tax requirements
  • Manage the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process and ensure timely submission of consolidated reports
  • Oversee relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions
  • Manage treasury activities, including banking relationships, funding structures, and cash flow planning
  • Support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of ERP and financial systems
  • Lead and develop local finance team in Switzerland (currently 1 direct report)
  • Foster a proactive, hands-on team culture that aligns with the company's start-up mindset and fast-paced environment

Profile

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (CPA or similar is a plus)
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Finance, with experience in both large companies and start-up environments ideally
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss legislation, accounting standards, and taxation
  • Proven experience working in fast-moving, high-pressure organizations
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Hands-on, dynamic, and solutions-oriented with the willingness and ability to operate strategically and operationally
  • Fluent in English, any other languages are a plus
  • Hybrid working model with presence in the Zug office 3 days /week
