Who we are

MagnebotiX was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. Our team of world-class researchers and engineers is passionate about the development and production of magnetic manipulation systems, including magnetic field generators and micromagnetic agents. With years of expertise in the field, our products support both fundamental and applied scientific and engineering research. Taking advantage of the transmission of both power and guidance through applied magnetic fields, our systems provide wireless tools to accomplish challenging micromanipulation tasks. They are also used to control untethered mechanical probes in otherwise inaccessible places and for targeted cargo delivery in minimally invasive biological studies.

What will you do

  • Work on-site in the centre of Zurich with a team of scientists and engineers.
  • Develop control algorithms for magnetic actuation.
  • Work on video processing for closed-loop control with visual feedback.
  • Put together test setups and demonstrations of your developments.
  • Work with our team to develop your work into a product.
  • Help and learn in the daily business of the company: building and installing our equipment, training customers, presenting at fairs and conferences and developing state-of-the-art methods in magnetic actuation.

Your background

  • Pursuing or holding a STEM degree
  • Experience with controls and robotics
  • Knowledge of programming, particularly Python and C++
  • Affinity to build, experiment, tinker and make
  • Excited to expand the state-of-the-art in magnetic control
