Position Overview:

AarkTech Solutions GmbH is a Swiss-based technology consulting and product company supporting customers across Switzerland and the EU. We design and deliver high-quality cloud-native and AI-enabled solutions with a strong focus on reliability, security, and scalability.

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen our cloud and platform engineering capabilities. Mainly it's a key role in building and operating cloud-native, production-ready platforms for regulated environments, supporting internal product development, client deployments, and long-term platform scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Design, implement, and operate Azure-based cloud infrastructure
• Manage production, staging, and development environments
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of platform services

CI/CD & Automation

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for microservices-based applications
• Automate build, deployment, and release processes
• Support reliable, low-downtime deployments and rollback mechanisms

Monitoring, Logging & Reliability

• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging across infrastructure and applications
• Track performance, availability, and operational health metrics
• Proactively identify and resolve reliability and performance issues

Security & Compliance

• Apply DevSecOps best practices for regulated environments
• Support identity, access management, and secure secrets handling
• Align infrastructure with internal governance and audit requirements

Collaboration & Enablement

• Work closely with architects, developers, and QA teams
• Support client PoCs, pilots, and production deployments
• Document infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational runbooks
• Mentor engineers and promote DevOps best practices

Required Skills & Experience:

Must-Have

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Solid understanding of microservices architectures
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
• Strong Linux and scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
• Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in financial services or regulated environments
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
• Knowledge of IAM, SAML, OAuth2
• Experience with hybrid cloud or on-prem integrations
• Exposure to data-intensive or high-availability systems

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline OR Equivalent professional experience combined with relevant industry certifications

Certifications (Preferred)

• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP – Architect level preferred)
• DevOps or Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
• AI/ML or Data-related certifications are an advantage
