Our client is a Swiss Private Equity (PE) backed startup company in the
Healthcare industry
with an international footprint. To support their rapid growth and ambitious expansion plans in Switzerland, they are looking to reinforce their Finance team with a key, foundational hire.

The Role and Your Mission

We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Accountant to support the CFO.

In this critical role, you will be one of the
foundational members
of the Finance team, helping to
establish, integrate, and build
accounting and reporting practices for several entities in Switzerland.

You will play a vital part in the
insourcing of accounting activities
, taking ownership and responsibility for financial processes, and directly contributing to the implementation of scalable finance workflows as the company grows.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Be a key contributor during the transfer the accounting function from outsourced providers to in-house processes, ensuring a smooth handover and consistent communication.
  • Support the development and
    implementation of new accounting procedures, systems, and workflows
    , including potential ERP system (Abacus) optimization
  • Own and manage
    the end-to-end month-end and quarter-end closing activities for multiple legal entities.
  • Collaborate effectively with external auditors and accountants to provide necessary documentation for quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Help to monitor and manage cash flow and ensure accurate record-keeping and robust internal controls.
  • Oversee and manage expense reports, invoicing, and complex bank reconciliations
  • Assist with day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable processing.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to finance, such as filing, document management, and correspondence.

What you bring technically:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience reporting under IFRS is a must, in combination with Swiss OR
  • Proven experience in month-end closing activities, with specific experience dealing with
    multiple Swiss entities
    simultaneously.
  • Strong command of ERP, Abacus is preferred
  • Fluency in German (C2/Native level) and English is a must
