Die Medizinische Fakultät der Universität Basel in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Schweizerischen Tropen- und Public Health-Institut (Swiss TPH) suchen eine Professorin / einen Professer für «Epidemiology and Public Health»
Ihre Aufgaben
Sie sind verantwortlich für das Fachgebiet «Epidemiology and Public Health» des Swiss TPH am Standort Allschwil in Forschung und Lehre. Mit Ihrem Forschungshintergrund stärken Sie die nationale und internationale Sichtbarkeit des Fachbereichs «Epidemiology and Public Health» am Swiss TPH und der Universität Basel. Sie bringen Ihre ausgewiesene Expertise und Ihr Interesse, insbesondere in nichtübertragbaren Krankheiten im globalen Norden und deren Interaktionen mit Infektionskrankheiten im globalen Süden, in die universitäre Forschung und Lehre ein, begeistern Studierende für Ihr Fach und fördern den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs. Ihre integrative und interdisziplinäre Perspektive ermöglicht eine zielorientierte Zusammenarbeit über Departementsgrenzen hinweg bis hin zu Stakeholdern ausserhalb der Universität.
Ihr Profil
Sie verfügen über eine breite wissenschaftliche Erfahrung in Public Health und Epidemiologie, mit einem oder mehreren inhaltlichem Schwerpunkten in den Bereichen nichtübertragbaren Krankheiten und deren Interaktionen mit Infektionskrankheiten, Exposom- und Umweltforschung, sowie mentale Gesundheit und Wellbeing. Sie weisen eine erfolgreiche eigene Forschungstätigkeit, inklusive kompetitiver Drittmitteleinwerbung, in einem assoziierten Forschungsgebiet aus. Sie haben Erfahrung in der Planung, Erhebung und Analyse von grossen prospektiv erhobenen Datensätzen aus Beobachtungs- und Interventionsstudien. Sie verfügen über ausgewiesene Führungserfahrung im akademischen Umfeld. Durch Ihr ausgeprägtes Fachwissen, Ihre Führungs- und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten sowie Ihre hohe Sozialkompetenz gewinnen Sie Akzeptanz und Vertrauen. Sie schaffen ein attraktives Arbeitsumfeld, inspirieren zu kreativem Denken und Handeln und fördern Ihre Mitarbeitenden. Sprachkentnisse in einer der Landessprachen sind wünschenswert.
