Structural Analysis Engineer – Space

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform finite element analyses (static, dynamic, vibration, shock, thermal) to assess and validate structural integrity and performance.
  • Develop and correlate numerical models to predict mechanical and thermal behavior under launch and in-orbit conditions.
  • Contribute to mechanical design and development, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with system requirements.
  • Support qualification and acceptance testing, including data evaluation and model correlation.
  • Collaborate with thermal, optical, electronic, and systems teams to ensure coherent and integrated designs.
  • Prepare technical documentation, analysis reports, and verification files.
  • Participate in project coordination and planning, with the possibility to take on broader responsibilities over time.

Our ideal candidate should have:

  • MSc or PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in structural or thermo-mechanical analysis for space or high-reliability systems.
  • Proficiency with FEA tools (NASTRAN, Simcenter, or equivalent) and CAD software (NX, CATIA).
  • Knowledge of space standards (ECSS, NASA) and testing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and coordination skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of German and/or French is considered a strong asset
