Role Purpose/Mission:

• Main contact for all 3PMs for Chantecaille reformulations skin care, build roadmaps to ensure future proof formulations,
• Ensure availability of formulas by reformulating bulks as needed and fulfilling approved aesthetics from lab to production scale on time in full
• Technical expert for formulas and bulk production processes capable of working together with internal and external network to realize reformulation, and optimization (legal, strategy, quality, cost, market position) of bulks
• Ensure transparent documentation of the results (SAP, MS Office, specification, internal development system)
• Assess feasibility, supplier capabilities and ensure right production scale for formulas and transfers
• Drive technology development and ensure exchange with LPG development teams

How you will create a beautiful impact:

• Activities for redevelopment and existing products
  • Develop new prototypes/ formulas on time in full (internal or external development)
  • Optimize formulas (e.g. reduce phases, raw materials, reduce production time, country specifics, more sustainable)
  • Analyse full formula assortment and data (e.g. MP, production history, MIBI, costs, claims)
  • Ensure necessary tests (e.g. stability, compatibility, microbiology, efficacy, stress tests, hand-over) and quality of the produced formula (specification, right raw in place, sensory profile etc.)
  • Effective communication with interfaces concerning project status
  • Implements the formulas to Supply Chain considering availability
• Ensure industrialization, technical transfer of products and right scale with effective operating window
  • Assess the impact of raw material changes on the product, production and claims
  • Insure profound raw material know how
• Report & communication of the results
  • Transparent documentation of results, ensure regular reporting according agreement
  • Manage interfaces within Supply Chain related to reformulation or quality projects
  • Risk assessment of formulas (Stress tests, technical limitations, 3PM capabilities, hand-over form)
  • Define formula and 3PM formula strategy to update portfolio and ensure compliance
• Regulatory
  • Ensure China compliance of formulas & skin care portfolio as well as following-up on commitments and regulation changes
  • Manage tests: safety, stability and help with efficacy test
  • Qualify labs for development purposes as well as test institutes
  • Assess natural index of formulas in development

What you need to have to be our next audacious and creative talent:

• Technical academic qualification (Engineer, Master or similar)
• 5 to 8 of experience in cosmetic formulation with profound knowledge in skin-care
• Insure profound raw material know how (green materials)
• Organizational, very good communication and negotiation skills, driving and hands-on approach
• Fluent in German and English
