Global Engineering Senior Leader

Job Description Summary The Global Engineering senior leader will be responsible for leading and executing complex, global programs within BD's Program Management organization. This role will drive strategic initiatives, ensure successful project delivery, and foster a culture of excellence in program management across the organization Job Description Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of large-scale, global programs from initiation to closure, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement comprehensive program management strategies, methodologies, and guidelines to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Coordinate cross-functional program teams, providing clear direction, mentorship, and support to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Lead program collaborators, including senior leaders, business units, and external partners, to ensure effective communication and expectation management.
• Identify and mitigate program risks and issues, developing contingency plans and advancing concerns as needed.
• Establish and monitor critical metrics for programs, reporting on progress, challenges, and outcomes to relevant collaborators.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Program Management organization, finding opportunities for process improvements and technology adoption.
• Develop and manage program budgets, resources, and schedules, ensuring optimal utilization and adherence to financial targets.
• Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the program teams.
• Contribute to the development of strategic roadmaps and long-range planning for relevant business areas.

Preferred profile:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related subject area. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing complex, global programs.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects within a matrixed organization.
• Strong understanding of program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and proficiency in program management software and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire diverse teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry is highly desirable.
• PMP or equivalent program/project management certification is required.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Salary range for the position : 95 000, ,00 EUR Annual
