Position: Automation Expert (m/f/d)

We are looking for an Automation Expert (m/f/d) to join the Automation team in
Valais
. The role involves working on projects such as technology transfers and new technology introductions, ensuring robust automation solutions are delivered across manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update automation-related specifications.
  • Perform off-line and on-line coding, testing, and peer reviewing.
  • Design, develop, and execute Automation Change Records (ACRs), Quality Change Records, and control qualification/commissioning test documentation.
  • Act as automation lead for unit operations, driving efficient issue resolution and change implementation on large/complex projects.
  • Assess proposed changes and evaluate discrepancies during manufacturing operations.
  • Troubleshoot process, equipment, and system malfunctions or failures.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and standards for Automation at the site.
  • Implement new approaches within Automation to improve quality and efficiency.

Profile

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven professional experience in automation within pharmaceutical, biotech, or other highly regulated industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA or similar).
  • Familiarity with GMP regulations and change control processes.
  • Business fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset.
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently on complex projects.
