As a dynamic spin-off from the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), we are at the cutting edge of robotics technology, offering a unique opportunity to work on innovative solutions in Switzerland's largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences. 

Internship Position:

We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented intern to contribute to the development and optimization of our robotic sensory skin technology. This is a hands-on role where you will gain invaluable experience with printed electronics, cleanroom technologies, lithography, and advanced imaging methods. The position will be based at Park Innovaare in Villigen AG. You will also occasionally work at FHNW in Brugg for the measurement and validation of sensor performance, and will be collaborating with a team of experts to develop and improve processes that will shape the future of robotics.

Responsibilities
:


• Develop and improve processes for creating robotic sensor skins with printed electrodes.


• Test sensor performance to ensure quality, sensitivity, and reliability.


• Work with advanced imaging tools such as scanning electron microscopes and confocal microscopes.


• Conduct experiments, analyze data, and present findings to the team.


• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to cleanroom protocols.

Requirements:


• Swiss work permit (required) and enrollment in a university program


• Background in Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering.


• Experience with cleanroom practices would be advantageous.


• Language: English (required).


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Enthusiastic about learning and passionate about innovative technologies.

Contract Details:

This internship position offers a 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our team of experts, receiving guidance and mentorship to enhance your professional growth.
