Herzog & de Meuron is an international architectural practice based in Basel, Switzerland. Established in 1978, the practice is led by the two founders together with the Partners and the CEO. Today, an international team of over 500 collaborators is engaged in a wide range of projects across Europe, the Americas and Asia. The main office in Basel works in tandem with studios in Berlin and Munich, Paris, London, Hong Kong, New York and San Francisco.

In our Basel office, we have an opening for a motivated Business Development Trainee (100%) to join for six months with the option to extend for further 6 months.

The Business Development department is responsible for managing the global portfolio of potential new project opportunities for Herzog & de Meuron. As a trainee you will support the Business Development Head and the team by assisting with day-to-day responsibilities related to managing the global pipeline, helping to develop strategic initiatives, preparing market research and producing content such as presentation materials for potential clients.

Your Key Tasks:

  • Produce graphic content such as presentations, booklets, RFP/RFQ submissions.
  • Support in preparing needed research as well as the recording and maintenance of data.

Your Profile:

  • At least 4 semesters in marketing or economics in combination with a strong understanding of architecture and design.
  • Proactive, detail oriented and good communication skills.
  • Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Native speaker or outstanding knowledge of English and German is required, ideally with strong writing skills. French or other languages are a plus.
