Facility Manager / School Operations Manager 80%

Your Responsibilities

  • Regular inspections of school buildings and facilities (safety, cleanliness, functionality)
  • Organisation and coordination of repairs, maintenance work, furnishing, and legally required safety checks with external specialists
  • Supervising and scheduling a team of 7 staff members
  • Management and oversight of service and maintenance contracts (e.g. building technology, cleaning, safety)
  • Keeping repair and maintenance journals and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks independently
  • Supporting the administration office by fielding phone calls and assisting parents, students, and employees with their requests
  • Close cooperation with the school leadership and external partners

Your Profile

  • Completed technical or vocational training, ideally with further education as a certified caretaker (Hauswart mit eidg. Fachausweis) or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of experience in facility management, caretaking, or building operations
  • Strong organisational skills, reliability, and a service-oriented approach
  • Experience in leading small teams is an advantage
  • Experience with Microsoft or Google suite
  • Language skills: German at C1 level (fluent), English at B2 level, english is the everyday language
