EPAM is seeking a skilled
Java Spring Boot & Azure Performance Engineer
to join our team in Zurich. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java backend development, expertise in Spring Boot and a proven track record of optimizing application performance on Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable Java Spring Boot applications
  • Implement best practices for performance tuning, profiling and monitoring in Azure environments
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of applications on Azure
  • Take on deep infrastructure work and navigate through existing systems and solutions independently
  • Ensure the design meets cloud cost efficiency, regulatory and security compliance
  • Conduct code reviews, participate in testing and support all SDLC phases

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Java (Java 17+) development with Spring Boot (knowing modules like Spring Core/Spring MVC/Spring Security/Spring Cloud Data Flow)
  • Good understanding of web applications, micro-services and APIs (NPM, REST, React & Swagger)
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and deployment models
  • Good knowledge of Azure Service Bus and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)
  • Familiarity with Maven, Gitlab and Gradle
  • Capability of profiling open-source libraries
  • Proficient communication skills in English are a must, while knowledge of the German language is a significant advantage
