About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Senior Java Fullstack Engineer
to join our team in Zurich. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of innovative software solutions within the
financial services sector
. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust, scalable, and maintainable applications using modern Java and JavaScript/TypeScript technologies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and develop fullstack solutions using
    Java
    ,
    Spring Boot
    , and modern
    frontend frameworks
    (e.g., Angular).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, propose technical solutions, and drive implementation.
  • Build and consume
    RESTful APIs
    , integrate with databases using
    JPA/Hibernate
    , and ensure high code quality through best practices and testing.
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes using tools like
    Jenkins
    ,
    GitLab
    ,
    Gradle
    , and
    Artifactory
    .
  • Ensure applications are deployable and maintainable on
    Windows-based platforms
    .
  • Mentor junior developers and provide guidance in code reviews and design discussions.
  • Work in
    agile teams
    , contributing to planning, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree (FH, Uni, ETH or similar) in
    Computer Science
    or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a
    Java Developer
    with deep knowledge of object-oriented design and programming.
  • Solid experience with
    Angular
    and/or other modern
    JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
    .
  • Experience in the
    financial industry
    is a must.
  • Strong understanding of
    Spring Boot
    ,
    JPA/Hibernate
    , relational
    databases
    , and
    RESTful API
    development.
  • Proficiency with
    DevOps tools
    such as Jenkins, Gradle, Artifactory, GitLab, and configuration tools like
    Ansible
    .
  • Fluent in
    German
    and
    English
    (minimum
    C1 level
    in both).
  • Excellent communicator, team player, and analytical thinker.
