Venture Operations

Creative Dock is looking for a Venture Operations & Event Coordination Intern based in Zurich to support one of our key FMCG venture-building programmes.

This is a hands-on, learning-intensive role for someone who wants to understand how innovation and venture building works in practice, from early operational setup to cross-functional execution, while also helping to deliver impactful team events, workshops and co-locations.

You will work closely with a small, experienced venture operations team, supporting multiple initiatives across functions, projects and countries.

This position splits responsibilities evenly:

• 50% Venture Operations (FMCG)
• 50% Event & Team Coordination

Your Role Breakdown

50% - Venture Operations (FMCG)

Objectives

Support the build-up and operationalisation of an FMCG Venture Factory by bringing structure, coordination and follow-through to cross-functional initiatives, while learning how innovation and venture building work in practice.

What you'll do

• Support operational and cross-functional projects that advance the maturity of the venture factory across the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, closing and follow-up.
• Work hands-on with operational teams to bring projects to life and ensure they deliver tangible, value-adding outcomes for the ventures.
• Collaborate closely with the venture operations team and multiple functions (finance, legal, HR, procurement) to align stakeholders and keep complex topics moving.
• Prepare and structure meetings and governance touchpoints, while tracking actions, timelines, dependencies and decisions across workstreams.

50% - Event & Team Coordinator

Objectives

Ensure smooth delivery of co-locations, workshops and team days, strengthening collaboration, alignment and operational readiness across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute co-locations, workshops, and events end-to-end.
• Coordinate logistics, schedules, travel and materials across multiple countries.
• Support venture teams with agenda preparation, communications and on-site coordination.
• Maintain the master event calendar aligned with governance cadence.
• Act as on-site support during key events to ensure seamless execution.

What you bring

• Strong interest in operations, project coordination, innovation or venture building.
• Very good organisational and planning skills.
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with international teams with a reliable and professional approach even in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and manage parallel tasks.
• Interest in FMCG, startups or venture environments is a strong plus.

Location

Zurich office (on-site role)

Occasional travel for Event & Team Coordinator (Europe) may be required.
