Role Description

As a Business Analyst in the financial sector, you will act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that financial products, services, and processes align with business goals and regulatory requirements. You will gather, analyze, and document business needs, translate them into clear functional specifications, and support the delivery of IT and digital solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and customer experience.

Your role will involve working on projects related to banking operations, risk management, investment products, regulatory reporting, or digital finance platforms. You will collaborate with product managers, compliance officers, developers, and business users to define requirements, validate solutions, and drive process improvements.

A deep understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulations combined with strong analytical and communication skills is essential to succeed in this role. Exposure to Agile methodologies, data analytics, and financial software systems will enhance your effectiveness.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile Business Analysis are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., Basel III, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank) is a plus.

Experience:

  • 0–5 years of experience as a business analyst or related role in banking, insurance, asset management, or fintech.
  • Experience gathering requirements, conducting gap analysis, and documenting business processes.
  • Familiarity with financial products, risk management, or compliance projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in requirements management and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Visio).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, data analytics, or financial modeling tools is beneficial.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile frameworks.

Analytical & Communication Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and business rules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, user interviews, and solution validation sessions.

Soft Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently and within teams.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and customer-centric focus.
