Role Description:

The Business Analyst plays a key role in analyzing business processes, financial data, and market trends to provide insights that support strategic decision-making and operational improvements within the financial sector. This position acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that financial systems, solutions, and projects align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and market developments. The Business Analyst contributes to the successful delivery of transformation initiatives, digital solutions, and performance optimization projects.

Key responsibilities include gathering and documenting business requirements, performing financial and data analysis, and supporting the development and implementation of new systems or process enhancements. The analyst will evaluate current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend solutions to increase accuracy, speed, and compliance. They will prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and provide actionable recommendations to management. The Business Analyst will also collaborate with IT, operations, risk, and finance departments to ensure seamless project execution and alignment between functional and technical specifications.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills. They must be capable of translating complex data into clear, practical insights and have an interest in how financial systems and products drive business performance. The role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and regulated environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or consulting within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate finance principles, and market dynamics.
  • Experience with financial modeling, business intelligence tools, or data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SQL or data query tools.
  • Experience working with banking systems, trading platforms, or ERP solutions is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of risk management, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, MiFID II) is a plus.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
