Learning Specialist

About This Role
As a Technical Learning Specialist within our Global Manufacturing & Technical Operations team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the architecture of our Learning Program. You will serve as a key liaison between Subject Matter Experts, Area Management, and the Biogen Training Network to define and implement site-level learning needs. Your responsibilities will include assessing controlled documentation for training impact, recommending changes to address learning gaps, and supporting the training and upskilling of Evaluators and Instructors. Your expertise will ensure that our training programs are both effective and compliant, ultimately enhancing our operational efficiency and safety standards. This role positions you as a central figure in our commitment to continuous learning and development, directly impacting our quality and compliance measures.

What You'll Do

• Provide support to maintain and apply a deep understanding of the training program at the site level.
• Act as the primary point of contact to guide and drive Subject Matter Experts and Area Management in defining and executing learning needs.
• Perform assessments of controlled documentation for training impact and review and approve business-requested changes.
• Make recommendations to address learning gaps and changes in the scope of the audience.
• Design and support the creation of engaging learning content.
• Support the consolidation and upskilling of Biogen Training Network, serving as a business learning liaison.
• Facilitate training and upskilling of Evaluators and Instructors at the site level.
• Support audit and inspection activities and serve as a Training SME for applicable quality events.
• Coordinate NEO and Onboarding sessions.
• Partner with Safety and other functions for Safety and non-GxP Training programs.
• Lead improvement projects to enhance training effectiveness.

Who You Are:
You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong organizational skill set, ensuring accuracy in all training documentation. Your collaborative nature allows you to work seamlessly with Subject Matter Experts and cross-functional teams. You have a passion for facilitating learning and are adept at public speaking and presentation. Your understanding of adult learning principles and ability to design interactive training materials drive your success in this role. You are eager to learn and apply new processes and topics, contributing to strategic project management and problem-solving initiatives.

Required Skills

• A degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline such as Learning, Psychology, or Life Sciences.
• 2+ years of experience in a highly regulated field, such as manufacturing or a pharmaceutical environment.
• Experience in a training or instructional role.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in training documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with SMEs and cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for training and personnel.
• Good facilitation, public speaking, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and audit processes is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Practical knowledge and application of cGMP and other related regulations.
• Expertise with electronic support tools for learning and development applications.
• Demonstrated competency in problem-solving and strategic project management.
