About This Role
As a Utilities Operator III, you will be an integral part of our operations team, ensuring the seamless 24/7 functioning of our utilities, including Black utilities, Clean Utilities, and HVAC systems. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring these systems through advanced SCADA systems, such as DeltaV and Siemens Desigo. In this role, you will support maintenance and revision work, execute operational plans, and be the point of contact for Utilities Ops and I&C outside of working hours. Your contributions will help maintain operational efficiency, safety, and compliance, supporting the overall business by keeping our facilities running smoothly and efficiently. You will also play a vital part in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring that all activities are meticulously documented and comply with our high standards of quality and safety.

What You'll Do

  • Operate and troubleshoot Black utilities, Clean Utilities, and HVAC systems.
  • Support maintenance and calibration activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Recognize and resolve issues on technical equipment, prioritizing first failure diagnostics and error resolution.
  • Maintain accurate logbook records and provide daily updates.
  • Execute alarm suppression/reactivation according to the operational plan.
  • Conduct routine operations, such as sanitization and sampling.
  • Perform regulatory PM tasks, including boiler checks and safety shower PMs.
  • Manage tank farm tasks, coordinating chemical deliveries and unloading.
  • Support waste management processes.
  • Document inspection, operation, and maintenance activities in CMMS logbooks.
  • Adhere strictly to technical, safety, and quality instructions.
  • Act as deputy for the shift lead during absences.

Required Skills

  • Mechanical or technical training (e.g., maintenance specialist, engineering operating mechanics) with a government-recognized certificate of competence or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in operations of industrial systems, preferably related to pharmaceutical, chemicals plants, or FMCG.
  • Proficiency in using SCADA systems like DeltaV and Siemens Desigo.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 shift environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in tank farm management and waste management processes.
  • Familiarity with CMMS for documentation and reporting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical or chemical plant operations.
