Corintis is a fast-growing technology company at the forefront of advanced cooling solutions for high-performance computing.
Based on the EPFL campus near Lausanne, Switzerland, we are proud to have a diverse team representing more than 20 nationalities.
Recognized as the number one startup in Switzerland, we are driven by a mission to push the boundaries of efficiency and scalability, enabling the next generation of AI and data-intensive systems.
As we continue expanding our global footprint and accelerating innovation, we're looking for talented individuals who are excited to shape the future of sustainable and cutting-edge technology to join our team. We are seeking an experienced Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist with strong expertise in procurement, logistics, and supply chain management.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing our company's purchasing procedures, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring cost-effective, timely, and compliant acquisition of goods and services.
This role will also actively support our company's growth by collaborating closely with engineering teams, contributing to new product development, and ensuring smooth scale-up of production for customers.
Responsibilities of the role
- Source and evaluate suppliers for Liquid Cooling components and mechanical assemblies (CNC parts, Connectors, Tubes, Cooling Distribution Units, PCBs, Wafers, etc); obtain quotations and negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to ensure competitive procurement.
- Convert requests for quotations into purchase orders; track acknowledgements, delivery schedules, and proactively address delays or issues.
- Ensure purchased materials and services meet required specifications for quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Support supplier performance monitoring (delivery, quality, cost) and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records, supplier data, and transactional information in ERP/purchasing systems.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal approval processes and procurement policies.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (engineering, operations, finance) to understand requirements, forecast demand, and optimize inventory and lead times.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, process improvements, and alternative sourcing options.
- Support contract administration, including supplier agreements, renewals, amendments, and management of vendor documentation (e.g., insurance, certifications).
- Perform ad-hoc procurement tasks and cross-functional support as required.
Requirements - Technical expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 2-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain (based on seniority).
- Experience managing suppliers, purchase orders, and ERP/purchasing systems.
- Basic project management skills and understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Background working with companies in mechanical and electrical engineering, with fundamental understanding of sensors, electrical components (e.g., wiring, sensors, connectors, power systems), and mechanical processes (e.g., machining, assembly, hardware systems) is beneficial.
- Experience with Odoo ERP system is a plus.
- Fluency in English required; French, German, or additional languages are strong assets.
- Strong negotiation, commercial acumen, and supplier-relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and support decision-making.
- Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel) and familiar with ERP/purchasing systems.
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to identify issues and drive solutions.
- Interest or experience in a startup or deep-tech environment is a plus.
This is a great fit if you:
- You enjoy negotiating, building supplier relationships, and finding the best value.
- You are detail-oriented and keep systems, records, and follow-ups accurate and up to date.
- You thrive in a fast-moving, hands-on environment and enjoy improving processes as you go.
- You proactively solve problems, take initiative, and don't wait to be told what to do.
- You're comfortable working closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams.
- You care about efficiency, cost optimization, and supply reliability.
This won't be the right role for you if:
- You prefer highly structured, corporate environments with fixed processes.
- You prefer only strategic work - this role includes operational, hands-on purchasing tasks.
- You prefer working fully remotely - this role requires on-site collaboration.
