Your Role
As an intern in our dynamic research team, you will contribute directly to key projects that advance HVAC technology. Your work will focus on extending and validating simulation models for heat exchangers and other components - laying the foundation for next-generation control algorithms.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and extend dynamic models for various heat exchanger types.
  • Simulate thermal and hydraulic behavior using Matlab, Simulink, and Simscape.
  • Parameterize models for different nonlinear operating regions and analyze control impacts.
  • Conduct lab experiments to characterize performance and validate your models.
  • Collaborate with experts in research, development, and verification to ensure robustness and usability.

Who You Are

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Passionate about system modeling, dynamic simulation, and thermal systems.
  • Skilled in Matlab/Simulink (Simscape experience is a plus).
  • Solid understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
  • Open-minded, proactive, and comfortable in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Analytical, independent, and a strong communicator in English (German is a plus).
