System engineering is an interdisciplinary field of system and platform engineering, complemented with business management and operational responsibility, that centres around on how to design and manage complex systems and technology platforms over their life cycles. The system engineer can assume a pure holistic role or can be a database, system/server, virtualization or a network specialist.YOUR CHALLENGE
  • In the holistic role, focus on work processes, optimization methods and risk management tools to meet the requirements of its stakeholders
  • Works with a project manager and the engineering team and is a primary point of communication to link the two together
  • Responsible for the further development, lifecycle, integration and operations of existing and new technology platforms, be it on the operating level, virtualization layer or on automation and optimization
YOUR PROFILE
  • Independent, efficient, proactive and meticulous ways of working
  • A high attention of quality management, operational resilience IT Security and risk management
  • Able to work under pressure and manage a portfolio of tasks
  • Recognized analytical thinking skills, and good knowledge of the methods & new ways of working (Agile, DevOps & Continuous Integration, etc.)
  • Good process management understanding, including IT change management
  • Very good knowledge of hardware engineering and operation, including IT Security, technology and infrastructure architecture
  • Very well acquaintance of service design and engineering
  • Network and Data base engineering and operation excellent knowledge
  • Relevant higher educational and professional background
