We're expanding our team in Visp and searching for a dedicated QC Lab Professional This is an exciting chance to be instrumental in setting up our brand new laboratory and contribute to vital quality control processes.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to our Quality Control operations, with a focus on microbiology:

  • Perform microbial analyses such as bioburden, sterility testing, growth promotion, method verification, and identification of microorganisms.
  • Assist with biochemical analyses when necessary.
  • Log activities performed accurately in the relevant systems.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Manage the organization of laboratory consumables, reagents, chemicals, and culture media.
  • Actively participate in Lean laboratory projects to improve efficiency.
  • Support the planning of laboratory studies and process improvements.

We are looking for a motivated professional with strong laboratory skills and a collaborative mindset:

  • A Laboratory Technician (
    Laborant
    ) qualification or a similar educational background is required. A degree higher than a Bachelor's is not needed.
  • Proficiency in both German and English is mandatory.
  • Proven experience with microbial or biochemical analysis.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other laboratory and quality management systems (e.g., LIMS).
  • A strong interest in learning new things and the flexibility to take on different tasks.
  • Open-mindedness and excellent communication skills when collaborating with colleagues across various departments.
  • Adaptability to spontaneous changes in planning and priorities.
  • A meticulous and accurate approach to implementing work instructions, with a keen eye for detail.
  • A structured and independent way of working that ensures efficiency and reliability.
