As a
Flight Data Engineer
, you will be responsible for the design, integration, and testing of unmanned helicopter systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our systems are reliable, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsabilities:
- Data Collection and Management:
Oversee the collection, organization, and storage of data generated during UAV operations, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. - Data Analysis:
Analyse flight data to assess UAV performance, identify trends, and uncover insights that inform design improvements and operational strategies. - Reporting
: Develop and produce comprehensive reports and visualizations that effectively communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering teams, including flight control, test bench, and design engineers, to provide data-driven insights that guide product development and enhancements. - Tool Development:
Create and maintain analytical tools and scripts to automate data processing and analysis tasks, improving efficiency and accuracy. - Validation and Testing:
Support flight testing by analysing data to validate performance metrics and identify potential issues or areas for optimization. - Continuous Improvement
: Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in data analysis techniques, incorporating best practices into workflows.
Competencies & Duties:
- Working independently and communicating complex technical matters precisely and concisely to a multidisciplinary team.
- Compliance according to ANAVIA's employment contract, compliance with company' safety instructions and employee' safety requirements, compliance with ANAVIA's quality manual, work instructions and corresponding process specifications and instructions.
- International travel required of up to 25% of employee' working hours.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field; advanced degree preferred. - Experience
: Significant experience with analysis of large datasets, preferably in the aviation or space industry; familiarity with software tools for data processing and the fundamentals of flight dynamics. - Skills:
Strong knowledge of data science tools (Python, Jupyter, etc.), experience with embedded systems and their communication (CAN, UART, etc.) and fundamental understanding of flight dynamics. - Communication:
Very good technical communication skills. - Language:
Excellent language skills in English (oral and written). German desirable.
