Project and Department Manager, Automation Development

Rüti Your Tasks

• You will take on the leadership of complex development projects – from initial concept to series production
• You plan and coordinate all internal and external resources, ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality goals, and manage the project teams throughout all phases
• You lead your team(s) with foresight, recognize individual strengths, and actively promote the personal and professional development of each team member
• You evaluate best-practice solutions and ensure that technical innovations are implemented efficiently and with clear focus
• With precise project controlling, you always keep an overview of progress, budgets, and risks
• In close collaboration with Product Management, Sales, Design, and Production, you ensure that all interfaces function optimally
• You provide regular project status reports and present results to our management team
• Thorough documentation and knowledge transfer to specialist departments complete your diverse range of responsibilities

Your Profile

• For this strategically important role, you hold a technical degree and further education in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Computer Science (University or University of Applied Sciences level)
• You have at least 5 years of solid experience in project management within a mechanical engineering development environment, ideally in a comparable leadership position
• As a committed personality with passion and drive, you inspire your employees as well as our internal and external stakeholders, communicating fluently in both German and English
• You are well-versed in modern project management tools and methodologies
• You are familiar with the world of automation — from sensors and drive systems to control architectures, user interfaces, network solutions, databases, and cloud applications — and you know how to leverage these effectively to generate measurable added value
