Product Delivery Manager

Why do we need you

We are looking for a Product Delivery Lead to step into a key role driving our planning & delivery cadence towards the release of our next major version and beyond. This person's main goal is to enable the Database Content, Database Innovation, and Software & Product teams to plan & deliver together and guide them through our transformative journey towards a performant product organization. This means you'll run and improve our planning & delivery activities, optimize our information flow, accelerate our decision making, and co-create our future organizational structure.

What you will be doing

Planning & delivery

• You will own & improve the planning processes for the teams to translate the 5-year strategy into product impact. The outcomes of these processes are structured in long-term and short-term. 1) Long-term goal achievement is met with concrete, continuously updated roadmaps covering 1-2 years for all product, content, & scientific innovation teams. 2) The short-term activities to realize our long-term goals are planned with quarterly OKRs, balancing priorities with available capacity and dependencies.
• You will own & improve the cross-team delivery processes, ensuring all teams can maximize the value of each sprint towards the quarterly goals and the roadmaps. This requires facilitation of cross-team delivery ceremonies to share information, resolve dependencies, expedite decision making, and mitigate risks.

Information flow

• You will optimize & streamline the information flow to ensure information parity and situational awareness across each member of the teams and their internal & external stakeholders.
• You will manage the operational delivery risk management process, ensuring risks are raised, communicated, & mitigated.
• You will communicate and assist in communicating the decisions, status, challenges, risks, & achievements of the software & product and database delivery process to stakeholders.

Decision making

• You will improve & expand the insights flow, KPI framework, and their usability by creating & maintaining insightful dashboards.
• You will encourage & facilitate data-driven decision making throughout the software & product and database teams by including that information in planning & delivery processes.
• You will facilitate the delivery processes and assist the teams in improving their software & data delivery KPIs.

Transformation

• You will act as an enabler by creating clarity and alignment across the teams, supporting the leadership with defining roles, responsibilities, and decision making processes as our processes change.
• You will identify and propose external best practices to improve internal workflows.

What you bring

• You have 4+ years' project or delivery management experience, ideally in product-driven scale-ups.
• You enjoy both managerial and operational tasks, you find a path forward in ambiguity, you take initiative, and you have a strong sense of ownership.
• You have strong facilitation skills - ability to design & run effective cross-functional planning processes, sessions, retrospectives, and dependency mapping workshops.
• You have outstanding communication (verbal, written, & visual), structuring, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
• You have strong interpersonal and change management skills - ability to operationalize and scale your operational improvements across teams.
• You have excellent analytical skills with ability to use data to drive decisions while still comfortable taking decisions under uncertainty.
• You have experience building & operationalizing KPIs dashboards.
