Mathematics Teacher

**Main Purpose of the Role**

We are seeking a full-time Mathematics teacher to join our Anglophone High School.

**Key Responsibilities**

The mathematics teacher will:

- Use and develop the existing resources to teach mathematics in the Anglophone High School, possibly including IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), IB (International Baccalaureate), Advanced Placement (AP) and regular mathematics courses.
- Work with colleagues to ensure that all lessons are harmonized across the grade level.
- Grade students as per the school guidelines and enter grades into the on-line gradebook.
- Write school reports as per guidelines and adhere to the timelines for completion.
- Supervise Extended Essays within the IBDP programme if required.
- Work as an Academic Advisor.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.

**Qualification**

Relevant university degree and teaching qualification.

**Experience**

Some experience of teaching mathematics in High School.

Previous experience of teaching in the IB and/or IGCSE programmes and/or AP mathematics.

Previous experience of teaching EAL students.

Previous experience in an international school setting.

Some experience working as a class advisor.

Some experience of teaching mathematics in Middle School.

Some experience working in a boarding school.

**Prior Skills and Knowledge**

Fluency in English.

Ability to use and integrate ICT in the curriculum.

Good rapport with students, firm but fair.

Good organizational skills.

Good communication skills, written and verbal.

Working knowledge of French.

**Additional Skills**

Must be able to work as part of a team.

Able to work to tight deadlines.
