**Position Summary**:
As a “R&D Master Trainee”, you will be part of the Institute of Packaging Sciences where we are developing high performing recyclable & biodegradable novel fiber-based packaging materials which are industrially scalable while being commercially viable for replacing plastics from our packaging globally and eventually supporting to shape a waste free society.

**A day in the life of a R&D Master Trainee**:
- Characterization of mechanical and physical properties of paper-based materials for flexible packaging
- Evaluation of the stresses acting on the material on a form fill seal packaging machine
- Analyze the barrier losses on paper-based material before and after pack formation
- Summarize and report the key findings from the study

**What will make you successful**:

- Masters Student in Paper / Material Science / Packaging / Engineering
- Strong understanding of paper physics.
- Ability to quickly adapt to a dynamic working environment.
- Fluent in English
