**Global Category Manager - Electronic Components**:**

Working with Electrification, you will be responsible to plan and implement global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a global Division /Business Area Procurement Manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Strategy - define, implement, and support execution of a sound sourcing strategy for electronic components by coordinating a matrix-aligned and globally dispersed team of experienced Division category managers. Communicate market trends including market drivers, cost structures, supply outlooks and technical developments.
- Supply chain risk management - ensure mid and long-term planning is in place to mitigate potential supply shocks and changes to regulatory landscape. Proactively monitor risks, lead escalations and other material management initiatives appropriate to the category.
- Supplier relationship management - act as the focal point (Key Supplier Manager) for strategic suppliers and co-ordinate supplier management activities across and on behalf of ABB Electrification. This also includes leading the strategic relationship with several select electrical material suppliers for the Business Area.
- Continuous improvement - drive actions to increase category maturity including the use of digital tools to augment visibility to tier N spend and proactively manage risks.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 10 years’ work experience in strategic procurement or category management for large complex organizations, preferably in electronics or electrical materials.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of procurement systems, processes, and practices.
- Ability to work and lead multi-disciplinary teams including R&D, government relations and planning & fulfilment to achieve business objectives.
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively across all levels both internally and externally.
- Procurement or supply chain-related professional certification (APICS, ISM, MCIPS) desirable.
- Fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
