The Category Manager will be responsible for appraising and improving the sourcing activities for a category of products, by analyzing the company's spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities. The holder of this position will drive the development of the supply base for the assigned scope and will manage the assigned the suppliers and their performance throughout the total supplier life cycle.

**Main Responsibilities & Tasks**:

- Draft category strategies for the assigned categories with a medium term to long term 2-5 year sight line
- Manage existing supply base and lead contract and price negotiations for assigned supplier portfolio
- Conduct contract management within the assigned scope (develop, maintain and execute)
- Perform supplier performance evaluation and management for assigned scope
- Maitain the category strategies in alignment with business needs, business procurement strategies and supplier technology roadmaps
- Research categories' trends, inform and advise relevant management and take actions to react accordingly
- Analyze cost trends, develop and review cost forecasts and translate them into implications for the business and Category management
- Prepare relevant benchmark data, supply market intelligence info and supplier scouting
- Execute and support phase out-phase in (POPI) planning related to new product introduction and supplier changes
**Qualification & Skills**:

- Academic degree in business administration or in relevant technology
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
- APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management required
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to identify the strategic procurement implications and opportunities
- Proven leadership capabilities
- Proven software skills, e.g. Microsoft Office, SAP is required
- Fluent in English
