Summary
The Project Manager takes the project lead for one or a number of clients and meetings & events programs and with that is responsible for the overall coordination of suppliers and third party collaborators. The PM is fully equipped to the lead in all phases of the project, demonstrates competency, is convincing and efficient in all requirements of the processes.
The PM leads complete events individually, from briefing to detailed consultation of the client up until the final invoicing and success controlling.
Should there be a requirement on travel logistics within the project, the Project Manager works closely with the Travel Logistic Planner(s) to work on an optimized holistic solution for the client. The PM is acting as primary contact person for the client in all stages of the program and acts pro-actively and allrounder with a deep understanding of the market and MICE-industry. In challenging situations, the project manager remains engaged and pro-active while always keeping a focus on the customer targets as well as on the project profitability and expansion of the relationship with the customer.
What You'll Do
- First point of contact for the client and the expansion of the relationship with the customer
- Complete project management and project controlling including consulting in regards of event venues and formats.
- Full budget responsibility and timely financial transactions
- Full knowledge of event guidelines and SLA’s and compliance regulations of the customer
- Coordination of all third parties in the project management process including potential external employees such as freelancers, hostesses, onsite support etc.
- Collaboration with travel logistic planners, if required.
What We're Looking For
- Taking responsibility towards the client and the project
- Fulfilling the requirements while adhering to given a given framework of SLA’s and compliance guidelines
- Good network and credibility on third parties such as hotels, DMC’s, A/V-suppliers etc.
- Pro-activity and holistic project management approach. Capability on early detection of leaks and gaps including escalation where needed.
- Strong abilities on time management and able to work under pressure.
Skills and knowledge requirements
- Excellent project lead knowledge and yearlong experience in the procurement of event management services as well as in the end-to-end workstream of various event formats.
- Ability to coordinate all in the project management involved third party agencies
- Very strong client communication skills. Ability to take care of and expand client relationship
- Knowledge and understanding of figures related to project profitability and results driven.
- Deep understanding of industry and brand and engaged interest on the job
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Very good knowledge of the national and international hotel
- and meeting industry, good knowledge on the event
- and meeting technology
- Acting pro-active and independently.
- Ability to build a strong and stable customer relationship on project management level
- Very good organizing skills and time management.
- Further education as professional event manager, apprenticeship in travel agency or hotel industry combined with a minimum of 3 years experience on the job as project manager or a minimum of 5 years experience on the job in the meeting industry.
- Strong ability to work team oriented.
