In this role you will lead the actuarial implementation of IFRS17 for the Zurich’s Group Re Life reinsurance portfolio and related Swiss local Statutory actuarial reporting processes. You will also be responsible for the operational management of this workstream of the IFRS 17 & 9 Global program and ensures that the objectives are clearly defined and met.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure in IFRS17 & Swiss Statutory reporting and Life reinsurance, interacting closely with other Business Units and Finance functions, collectively adding value to the Zurich Group.

**What you will do**
- Drive the on-time and accurate delivery of all Life Actuarial reinsurance IFRS 17 milestones, including methodology, implementation and reporting
- Implement the appropriate project management methods, develop detailed work plans and clearly communicate the outcomes to the relevant stakeholders
- Foster cross-functional collaboration mindset across the organization
- Review and challenge Zurich’s Business Units (BU) on their IFRS 17 actuarial implementation and reporting process regarding to deliver IFRS 17 reporting requirements for Group Re’s Life portfolios
- Assess and quantify simplifications for IFRS 17 reporting requirements of the respective Group Re Life portfolios
- Improve Group Re IFRS 17 documentation, covering the Life portfolio treaties and related systems implementation
- Review the IFRS 17 figures submitted to Group Re by the respective BUs for the regular quarterly reporting and setting expectations for following reporting periods
- Ensure Group Re systems capture, for all treaties, the same level of life actuarial granularity as collected in the central actuarial solution. Design requirements and test implementation for any additional requirements
- Drive the impact analysis of IFRS 17 on the Swiss local statutory reporting of Group Re Life. This should include designing a new methodology, identifying additional actuarial, system and control requirements, and implementing the final solution covering the design IT requirements and testing

**What you bring**
- University Degree in actuarial sciences
- Qualified actuary e.g.: SAV, DAV, SOA, FIA
- 5+ years’ work experience gained in life reinsurance valuation
- Experience in life cashflow model implementation and results analysis
- Strong analytical / numerical skills to challenge and explain newly produced IFRS 17 results
- Excellent time management skills with some project management experience Prior experience with implementation of new reporting standards would be beneficial
- Good understanding of key financial reporting standards, including SII, MCEV, IFRS 17 and Swiss local statutory
- Ideally already knows the Finance processes of Zurich Insurance
- Good knowledge of Prophet, Excel, VBA. Other skills such as R, Python or SQL would be beneficial
- Fluent written and spoken English. German would be a plus
