**Technician Molecular Biology**
**80-100 % **:The Viral Vector Facility (VVF), a central technology platform of the University of Zurich (UZH), is looking for a technician for its molecular biology laboratory. The VVF offers custom made and pre-made viral vectors as well as associated molecular biology services for scientists worldwide.
- standard molecular biology methods for cloning of new plasmids (PCR, restriction enzyme digest, gel electrophoresis, DNA fragment purification, ligation)
- working with bacteria (transformation, growing of bacterial cultures, production of competent bacteria)
- plasmid purification (miniprep, maxiprep)
- quality control of AAV and LV vectors (PCR, sequencing)
- preparation of stock solutions (bacterial growth media, general solutions)
- basic data analysis
- recording of work progress in a database
- maintenance of laboratory equipment
- general lab work (autoclaving)

We are looking for somebody who shows a dedicated and flexible attitude (including the willingness to extend working days if necessary), who is capable of organizing and executing his/her work independently as well as in agreement with coworkers and supervisors, and who reliably processes several tasks in parallel along the lines of SOPs, manuals, and specific information provided.
