**GRANITE BIO is seeking an Associate Director, (Cellular) Immunology**.

This exciting and unique opportunity aims to drive translational work that enables progression of current and novel antibody assets to the clinics. The Cellular Immunologist will establish and run studies focusing on human immunology answering key scientific questions highly relevant to autoimmune, inflammatory, and fibrotic diseases.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide leadership in pre-clinical therapeutic hypothesis testing for inflammatory and fibrotic disease indication
- Drive pre-clinical in vitro experimental activities for GRANITE BIO for all programs to enable IND package
- Build experimental expertise. Techniques will include, but are not limited to whole blood, PBMC and primary human immune-cell in vitro assays, state-of-the art multi-parametric flow cytometry, imaging.
- Work in close collaboration with our academic partners
- Design, plan and manage experimental activities done at CROs

**WHO YOU ARE**
- PhD, or MSc with significant years of experience in human cellular Immunology or Molecular Immunology
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experimental experience in myeloid/phagocyte, T, B and NK cell immunology.
- Strong expertise in FACS and cell-based assays including whole blood, PBMC and primary cell. Experience with analytical assays (e. g. multicolor flow-cytometry, T cell functional assays) and ex vivo/in vivo models (immunology, oncology)
- Strong team player and familiar with cross-functional matrix teams
- Fluency in spoken and written English and strong communication skills enabling effective and productive interactions with a variety of different audiences including team members, cross-functional project teams, external collaborators and stakeholders
