**Your mission**

As a **Data Scientist / Computational Biologist**, you contribute to research and development projects by developing innovative algorithms and frameworks to solve our customers’ challenges. Through your creative ideas, you further support the definition of the technology roadmap.

**Your responsibilities**
- Application of state-of-the-art bioinformatics and biostatistical methodology to molecular and clinical data.
- Development of custom/novel machine learning algorithms for classification and clustering of multivariate data.
- Build-up and establish data processing and machine learning toolchains.
- Exploration and visualization of different types of omics data.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within CSEM.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with our partners and customers.
- Proactively propose project and research ideas.

**Your profile**

**Know-how**
- Master or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, data science or related field with a strong interest in machine and deep learning.
- Excellent knowledge of computational methods for the analysis of large sets of omics data in Python or R.
- Good knowledge of ML frameworks.
- Experience with the analysis, integration and interpretation of multi-omics data.
- Good skills in data analysis, data visualization and statistical programming.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix command line and high-performance computing environments.
- Good understanding of biology.
- Experience with computer vision is a plus.
- Experience in explainable AI is a plus.
