The Platform launched a new program on Clean Power and Electrification

Reporting lines and interactions

The Programme and Engagement Lead (hereafter “Lead”) will report to Head, Clean Power and Electrification. He or she will build a close working relationship with colleagues from of the Energy and Materials Platform. He or she will also work closely with the Forum’s business and regional teams to ensure strategic engagement with the public and private sector.

Main responsibilities

The Lead will work on the Clean Power and Electrification program to execute on the current strategy and contribute to develop the next phases of the program.

Stakeholder Relations- Build and manage trusted relationships with internal stakeholders to support and proactively manage partner engagement and development activities.- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. This will include identifying and forging new relationships, especially with stakeholders that are not yet deeply involved such as regulators and government leaders from sectors including power, transmission, built-environment, transport and industry. In addition, he/she must manage and strengthen existing relationships across business, government, non-profits and academics.

Program and workstream management- Oversee the program management, including tracking KPI progress and keeping the team priorities and deadlines on track.- Coordinate the range of workstream co-lead by project fellows. May involve co-leading a workstream or working group. Together with project fellows, ensure the successful delivery of the Accelerator Playbook and its adoption by stakeholders.- Oversee execution of CEO/Ministerial level roundtables, senior executive group meetings, and country-level roundtable. He or she will develop the agenda, manage invitations, speaker management and technical event delivery- Co-develop and guide governance leadership or the program.- Amplify key outcomes through strategic communications, and in collaboration with stakeholders.

Business Development and Fundraising- Identify and engage new potential business partners.- Develop funding proposals to scale the program and lead relationship management with pipeline of potential funders- Business acumen: identify ways to grow the value proposition for stakeholders, attract new partners and raise funding.- Execution: Ability to execute activities with colleagues and stakeholders- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate, internally and externally.- Strategic capability: Contributions to strategy and refinement of the program, and specific workstreams.

Preferred requirements and experience- A Master’s degree or equivalent work experience- 7-10 years relevant experience- Excellent written, digital and verbal communication skills with fluency in English- Entrepreneurial spirit, and self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative environment- Team player with the ability to build strong relationships and networks- Keen interest to accelerate the energy transition through scaling clean power and deployment of energy efficiency and end-use electrification solutions
