**Description**

**The opportunity**

We are seeking a Finance Data and Analytics Lead to join our FP&A team. This role will drive our data strategy, leverage existing tools and technologies, and build the roadmap towards next-level financial operations using AI, advanced analytics, and dynamic scenario modelling. You will combine a strong understanding of finance and FP&A processes with deep expertise in data, technology, and automation to transform how we deliver insights and decision support across the organization.

**How you’ll make an impact**
- Lead the Finance Data and Analytics Strategy: Develop and execute a data and analytics roadmap that elevates our finance data and analytics capabilities, ensuring alignment with business priorities and finance transformation goals.
- Drive AI and Automation Initiatives: Identify, evaluate, and implement, together with finance domain experts and our IT team, AI and automation solutions to enhance analytics capabilities, forecasting/scenario analysis and data visualization to drive operational decision-making.
- Optimize Existing Tools and Technologies: Maximize the use of current systems (e.g. S4 HANA, planning tools, SQL, TM1, EDP, etc.) to drive efficiency, improve accuracy, and streamline processes.
- Enhance Dynamic Scenario Analysis: Build frameworks and tools to enable rapid scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and real-time business insights for strategic and operational planning.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes, integrate new technologies, and improve the way we analyze and communicate financial insights.
- Business and functional partnership: Collaborate closely with our business units, functions, IT team and finance stakeholders to understand needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Data Governance and Quality: evolve data standards, processes, and governance in collaboration with Hitachi Energy master data colleagues to ensure consistency, reliability, and integrity of finance data. Maintains authority and accountability for finance data assets and the analytics used for decision making and AI.
- Upskill and Influence the Finance Team: Drive data and analytics competencies within the finance function by coaching team members on data tools, automation approaches, and best practices in financial analytics.

**Your background**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related discipline; MBA, CFA, or advanced analytics certification preferred
- Experience in FP&A, financial data analytics, and finance transformation roles
- Strong technical expertise in financial planning tools, data visualization and data management and modelling
- Experience with AI/ML solutions, automation tools and integration into finance processes
- Proven track record of leading data and analytics initiatives within finance functions to deliver business impact
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to influence and drive change
- Ability to think strategically, challenge the status quo, and execute operationally
