Global Procurement Excellence Director

**Job Purpose**
The Global Procurement Excellence Director reports to the Head of Global procurement and is located in Basel, Switzerland. The role is part of the Global Procurement organization and is responsible to drive procurement excellence through implementation of procurement best practices, processes and systems across the group. This role is critical for the execution of the ambitious global procurement transformation’s agenda.

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Define and execute activities related to continuous improvement of processes, methods & best practices required to drive excellence in procurement in the areas of: Category Management, Source to Contract, Procure to Pay, Supply Risk Management, Supplier Performance Management
- Upgrade existing procurement policies (and create new ones when needed) to support the implementation of best demonstrated procurement practices.
- Drive & monitor implementation of local / regional projects aiming at better usage & adoption rate of Straumann group standard procurement systems (as per the group Procurement Digitalization Roadmap)
- Develop and follow up on compliance & improvement metrics (spend coverage, contractual coverage, policies compliance, etc..)
- Support the creation and execution of communication plans (audience: group procurement community)
- Initiate and lead activities related to Sustainable Procurement

Priorities
- Support the execution of the group procurement transformation and digitalization roadmap.
- Design transformation programs to be implemented across the group, to drive excellence in Procurement and increase procurement maturity at local / regional levels.
- Build effective and trusted relationships with stakeholders and procurement organizations across the group, at all levels of the organization.
- Train, coach and develop local / regional procurement teams in their transformation and improvement projects.

**Profile**
- Preferred education: Master, MBA academic degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering
- Professional certification: CPSM or CIPS desired
- Language: English (excellent written and spoken), Others - fluency in at least one addi-tional language is advantageous (e.g. French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish)

Experience
- Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, including at least 5 years in senior procurement management role (preferred: in Global or regional Procurement Excellence), with exposure to global supply chain management, complex strategic sourcing and optimization of procurement processes and standards.
- Recent experience with the implementation of one of the best in class S2P or P2P- systems on the market (exp: Coupa, Ariba, GEP, etc.)
- Specific experience includes at least one of these: project management, procurement training and development

- Proven ability to get buy-in & work with cross-functional teams and build relationships across multiple functions, countries, regions and cultures, in multiple global locations and at various levels.
- Proven ability to identify problems quickly, make sound judgments, establish and implement solutions.
