- MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB- To lead a relevant Digital Transformation Strategy for the Group that fosters innovation and transformation, and also mobilises and enables the desired business outcomes for the long-term sustainability of the organisation.To act as an Innovation and Digital change agent for the Group to encourage a “Digital First” approach to healthcare and organisational challenges and opportunities. Strong drive to support and encourage culture change.- KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS- Lead and coordinate the development and maintenance of Mediclinic’s digital health strategy at Group and divisional level
- Provide suitable and leading-edge digital perspectives and insights to stimulate debate, discussion and decision-making about digital transformation strategies and priorities at relevant forums. Provide digital proposals to transform business processes, service offerings and client engagement
- Identify new digital technologies and technology trends and evaluate the implications for Mediclinic’s digital health strategy and digital capabilities
- Regularly map Mediclinic’s digital capabilities against its strategic goals, interprets the gaps and proposes strategies to bridge
- Champion Automation (RPA & IPA) across all business units
- Identify leading and effective digital health transformation practices and methodologies and introduce them into Mediclinic
- Lead the coordination of new digital capabilities and products within the Group
- Institute and maintain governance structures and mechanisms to oversee digital transformation, projects and operations
- Ensure visibility of the benefits and (transformational) impact of digital projects throughout their lifecycles
- Build networks with and select term strategic external partners for digital transformation
- REQUIRED EDUCATION- Essential:
- Clinical qualification at Master’s level
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Information Technology, Health Technology
- Desired:
- Relevant post-graduate qualification
- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE- Essential:
- 10-15 years’ experience in implementing digital architecture including at least 5 years in a senior management capacity
- Full-cycle experience in implementing IT solutions in agile approach
- 2-5 years of healthcare experience (hospital level)
- Desired:
- Demonstrated experience in roles/projects requiring transformational leadership across functions
- Consulting related to digitalisation and transformation
- Experience across the continuum of care (primary, secondary, ambulatory, rehabilitative care)
- Digital health and virtual care experience
- Demonstrated ability to work across diverse geographies and cultures
- Experience managing remote teams
- REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE- Ability to grasp business strategy, anticipate trends and propose transformational solutions through collaboration with key stakeholders
- Ability to identify and mobilise key stakeholders to implement the digital strategy optimally
- Ability to lead the organisation at both strategic and tactical level to adopt and embrace digital transformation
- Insight in information security strategies
- Knowledge of agile project methodology and design thinking
- Knowledge of master data and database management
- Knowledge of modern digital solutions and architectures, from both a functional and technical perspective
- Knowledge of relevant data protection legislation
- Sophisticated research skills and the ability to transform relevant information in digital direction and viable solutions
- Understanding and knowledge of the role and applicability of automation across business functions
- Written and verbal communication skills
