Within the Zurich Group, Investment Management is a community of over 650 investment professionals worldwide. With our dedicated central and local real estate teams we are managing more than USD 22bn of real estate assets for our various business partners and portfolios. We are looking for a new colleague who is keen to spearhead the function of our global real estate investment strategy activities, helping us to realize our investment ambitions.

**What you will do**

Your main responsibilities and accountabilities will include:

- Real estate market research with focus on our key investment markets,
- Definition and maintenance of qualitative and quantitative requirements for RE investments with the aim of obtaining superior long-term risk adjusted investment returns considering externalities
- Evaluation and proposals of RE capital markets to invest in, generation of investment idea and themes for existing and new products and portfolios,
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders and investing business partners to formulate the SAA for RE and investment guidelines for RE portfolios and products,
- Supporting the optimal constructing and implementation real estate investment products and portfolios,
- Supporting the implementation of best-practice performance measurement of real estate portfolios and managers, regarding ESG and other relevant KPIs,
- Market data management/analytics and the creation of market commentaries and reports such as Zurich’s RE house view, market forecasts and portfolio level reports,
- Other ad-hoc activities, such as valuation modelling, preparing research papers, presentations and articles, internal workshops and conferences, other tasks

**What you will bring**

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

- Master’s Degree with a focus on real estate capital markets, investments, finance, banking or economics
- Existing or planned CAIA/CFA qualification is an advantage
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in areas such as real estate research and strategies, real estate asset/portfolio management, investment
- or macroeconomic analysis, preferably within an insurance company or another similar financial institution
- Strong knowledge of most relevant institutional real estate investment markets, capital markets and investment structures
- Ideally very good competences in Python, Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
- Analytical, data
- and detail-oriented mind-set
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Creativity and propensity for initiative, innovation and continuous improvement
- Fluent written and spoken English, while German is a strong advantage
